CyanotypeMini Project- 11-18 thru 11-21 Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. The process uses two chemicals: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide. We are going to experiment using your black and white photos we took last week. 1. Nature print - using found objects. 2. Straight up print using your negative. 3. Experiment by adding other prints or objects on top of your print or blocking out using paper- etc. 4. Cut up your negative- collaborate with friends too- piece back together and print. |
