Aperature week!9/6-9/13
Put most simply – Aperture is ‘the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken When you hit the shutter release button of your camera a hole opens up that allows your cameras image sensor to catch a glimpse of the scene you’re wanting to capture. The aperture that you set impacts the size of that hole. The larger the hole the more light that gets in – the smaller the hole the less light. This week we are going to focus on changing and experimenting with the amount of light that enters our camera. 3 assignments- toys, mini, personal object Questions to ask. 1. How do I use this tool to create my own work? 2. Why does this function matter? 3. How much light is too much? too little? 4. What is depth of field? 5. What is an F-stop? Vocabulary: depth of field, f-stop, aperature
